About Us

I have been keeping bees for a few years now. I inherited my beehives from my father when he died. Although I had a slight interest in bees it was only when one of the hives swarmed just after my fathers death that I really thought about looking after them. Capturing that first swarm and attempting to put them into a new hive was a 'baptism by fire' experience. After achieving this I then started to read books on beekeeping as fast as I could so that I knew what to do next and could have a better understanding of what the bees required from me.

Several years on and I am still thirsty for knowledge and bees! I have joined the local Beekeepers Association and am expanding the number of hives I keep as my knowledge expands.
